Kayseri is located in the Central Red River section where the southern part of Central Anatolia and Taurus Mountains approach each other. East and northeast of the city is surrounded by Sivas, north by Yozgat, west by Nevşehir, southwest by Niğde, south by Adana and Kahramanmaraş provinces.
You can reach Kayseri by road, railway and airway.
Mount Erciyes, which is among the tallest mountains of Turkey, is a mountain that is always snowcapped wherever you look from. It is among the most important ski resorts of Central Anatolia region.

As in Nevşehir city, which is known most for its underground formations, there are lots of residents, underground cities and churches within the rocks excavated in the city of Kayseri. Ağırnas Underground Cities located in the Lower Pınar area have a history dating back to the years B.C.
